Space:
Space is very limited this season. Sign-up quickly. We already have 47 teams confirmed to participate prior to registration opening. We expect this tournament to sell out quickly for both Adult and Youth programs.

Event Concept:
Montreal Mavericks started less than 2 years ago. We have travelled to many large tournaments throughout the USA to play 5v5 flag with some having 600+ teams, yet there isn't a true American Style Tournament available in Canada. So we decided to bring one to Montreal. This will be a yearly event that will get bigger and bigger. Next year we have already secured a site with 4 turf fields. We will always try our best to make sure our events are on turf to bring our athletes and coaches the best experience. Next years event will be 32 games per hour. We envision all the best teams in Canada partaking in this event. The best of the best in youth and adult 5v5 flag from across Canada, making this a destination tournament each summer. We may even have it float between our two largest cities. Montreal and Toronto.

We felt it necessary for each team, player, coach to understand our vision, understand our goal, understand our direction for this yearly tournament. This will truly be a tournament that our teams, coaches, and players have not experienced unless they have traveled to the USA.

Who are we:
The Montreal Mavericks Youth Flag Football Association is a community-focused organization dedicated to promoting youth participation in flag football in Montreal. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where young athletes can learn and develop their skills in the sport. Montreal Mavericks Youth Flag Football is a not-for-profit that is focused on bringing flag football to the youth of Montreal. Our Fall/Winter League had 32 teams. Our spring league has 48 teams. We are starting a new Summer League and a Winter in 2024/2025.
Tournament Details:
Canadian Teams ONLY
Open to ALL Teams and Organizations within Canada
3 Pool play with Single Elimination Playoffs
Division winners receive Championship rings
Gold Division Winners receive a Full Bid to Canadian Nationals 2025 hosted by Montreal Mavericks

ADULT - Friday Night Lights Format Games begin at 5pm June 14th end at 11pm June 14th
- Held on both outside turf field and indoor dome turf field (16 games per hour)
- Each Game is 24 min, no halftime
​
Youth - 3 Pool Play will begin at 9am June 15th until 9pm
- Single Elimination Playoffs begin June 16th until 5 pm
- Held on both outside turf field and indoor dome turf field (16 games per hour)
- Each Game is 24 min, no halftime

Entry Fees:
$395cdn per team (First come, First Serve - Spots are limited)
Registration opens April 26th 2024 at 10am EST
Registration closes June 10th 2024 at 11:55pm EST
Registration must be paid in full at time of Registration due to Limited Spaces
Prizes:
All winning teams will win Championship Rings (big and heavy)
Adult teams will have a $2500 purse split between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Mens, Womens, Co-Ed. A total of $7,500 will be given out for Adult.

Online Stats:
The entire tournament will have LIVE online stats by player
​
Check-In:
Will be located outside of Dome Entry.
​
Team Package includes - Wrist bands and flag belts for up to 12 players and 2 Coaches
​
Adult - Team Packages will available as of 12pm June 14th.
​
Youth Check-in begins at 12pm June 14th
Youth check-in requires age verification with government ID, team packages will be provided to coaches once all age verifications have been completed

Eligibility:
Age cutoff 1/1/2024
Rosters are limited to 12 players and 2 coaches. All players will need a valid Government ID. Coaches and players must sign all waivers and show as eligible to participate.
All players will be issue age specific wrist bands that must be worn throughout the tournament.
Rosters are due no later than June 10th 2024 at 11:55pm EST
Rules: 5v5 Olympic Rulebook (will be made available shortly, but follows the currently published rules by the Olympic Committee, we will put it into a simple and easy PDF Rulebook for all teams and coaches)

Equipment:
All teams must use age specific ball sizes
Montreal Mavericks will provide traditional two flag belts - smooth poppers (included in your registration fees) provided at check-in
​
Hotels: This is not stay to play.
​
A Hotel List will be provided and updated.

Food Alley:
Several Gastronomic Mobile Units will be on site from 5pm June 14th to 5pm June 16th

We will have several vendors onsite from 5pm June 14th to 5pm June 16th

Located in front of the Dome Field
Will have the Brackets
Able to answer any questions you have throughout the weekend

Officials:
All officials will be Real ACTIVE Referees within the Quebec Football Flag or Quebec Football Tackle Associations. No parent referees. No Child or Youth Referees.

Refund Policy:
Montreal Mavericks has a no refund policy once you pay the full registration fee. Spaces are very limited. In the unusual circumstance where your team is unable to play due to injuries, illness etc., we are happy to provide a credit to a future Montreal Maverick Tournaments for the amount, if we receive written notification two weeks prior to the tournament. In the unforeseeable scenario that we are impacted by COVID-19 or other virus-related events, including but not limited to, a mandatory quarantine and/or shut-down of “non-essential” businesses, we will be offering a credit to a future Montreal Maverick Tournaments.
